Most people are held back not by their innate ability, but by their mindset. They think intelligence is fixed, but it isn’t. Your brain is like a muscle. The more you use it and struggle, the more it grows in quantity and strength.
And the best way to grow it is not by doing things that are easy for you. That might help a bit. But what really helps your brain is when you struggle with things.
Why? Because it will stimulate your brain to strengthen it’s neuron and grow new ones. If it is easy, then they don’t need to grow new neurons because they can already handle it with existing ones, it would be wasteful to produce more, right? Just like muscle.
Research shows that our brain grows the most not when you get a question right, but when you get a question wrong.
It also shows that we can take control of our ability to learn. We can all become better learners. We just need to build our brains in the right way.
We are all born equal, we all have the same potential as everybody does. It is up to us to either settle or grow.
‘Talent’ or so-called ‘genius’ is a myth. Anybody can be as genius or as talented as anybody else.
